Exchange Programs

At Skive College, we have great experience and success in exchanging students with schools around Europe.

It always provides an incredibly experience for the students and it is an area we are constantly working to expand.

We are always interested in getting new partners and developing new exchange programs together. Do not hesitate to contact our international coordinator if you want to discuss opportunities for cooperation.

Vocational education and training (VET)

Building, construction and production

Construction worker, Concreter and Paver (Anlægsstruktør, bygningsstruktør og brolægger)

Work with how buildings, bridges and roads are built. During the training the students learn what materials to use. After graduation they will be able to do a job that is both safe and durable for wind and weather.

Construction joiner (Bygningssnedker)

During the training the students gain basic knowledge about wood species and learn how to make products in wood such as frames, doors and windows for houses and make various fixtures such as stairs, handrails and built-in cabinets.

Carpenter (Tømrer)

Wood and craftsmanship are the foundation of the carpentry industry, which gives the students many possibilities. A carpenter can do all the woodwork on both residential and commercial buildings.

Bricklayer (Murer)

A bricklayer student learns how to build and maintain houses. An important part of the education is being able to read a work with drawing and build a house thereafter.

Blacksmith (Smed)

The composition of metal and one of the oldest subjects in the world. A blacksmith student learns about the different types of metal how to bend, cut, drill, mill, rotate and cut threads. The students work on welding, assembling and assembling various elements.

Plumbing and heating (VVS-energi)

A plumbing and heating student learns how to install and design modern bathrooms, ventilation and air conditioning, and gas and water installations. The students learn to advise clients on materials, environment, price and quality.

Industrial operator (Industrioperatør)

In the training as an industrial operator, the students learn to operate, monitor and repair production plants in industrial companies. The students gain knowledge on quality control, value streams, production optimization, problem solving and collaboration.

Industrial technician (Industritekniker)

Industrial technicians learn how to program, repair and install machines. The students work with different types of machines that can be found in large industrial companies.

Toolmaker (Værktøjsmager)

A tool maker works both theoretically and practically and can build production tools that produce products in plastic and metal. In the training as a tool maker, the students learn how to manufacture production tools according to technical drawings and operate computer-controlled machines.

Tool technician (Værktøjstekniker)

Tool technician is a further education from toolmaker. A tool technician works with the construction of production tools.

Design

Upholsterer (Møbelpolstrer)

A furniture upholsterer learns how to re-care for new and old furniture according to the customer's needs and wishes. The students can specialize in antique, industrial or style furniture.

Car upholsterer (Autosadelmager)

The students work on manufacturing and repairing car seats and fitting interiors in the car. They work on repurposing seats, doorways, repairing tarpaulins, decorating leather cabinets and rugs.

Curtain decorator (Gardindekoratør)

A curtain decorator learn about the production of curtain fabrics, design, calculation of fabric consumption and mounting of curtains and curtain rods.

Machine joiner (Maskinsnedker)

A machine joiner student learns to think creatively, in detail and independently with the machines and the wood as the most important elements. Through individual projects the students get challenged in technology, design and 3D drawing. The students get skills to plan production in any wood industry and get the tools to produce everything from furniture, fixtures and fittings to building components and prototypes.

Cabinetmaker (Møbelsnedker)

Cabinetmakers get basic knowledge of woods and learn how to make products in wood. The training as a furniture maker includes drawing and building according to the customer's needs and wishes.

Energy

Electrician (Elektriker)

Electricians learn how to provide electricity in new buildings or renovate the electrical installations in older homes. During the training students gain basic knowledge about the work with power for lights, machines, computers and alarms. The students learn how to install, maintain and repair computer controlled electrical systems such as computer networks, telephone systems, industrial robots and offshore installations in wind, oil and gas.

Electrician with focus on green energy (Elektriker med focus på grøn energi)

An education as an electrician with focus on wind energy.

High Voltage Education (Forsyningsoperatør)

An education that provides basic knowledge on how the electric fiber and cable networks for electricity supply are designed and functioning. The students get to know the distribution network and production systems within the electricity supply industry. During the training the students learn how the power is produced in different ways and how it comes out to the consumer.

Mechanics

Auto mechanic

An auto mechanic troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts engines, brakes, clutches and steering on passenger cars and vans under 3500 kg.

Bicycle- and motorcycle mechanic

The training as a bicycle and motorcycle mechanic gives the students a basic knowledge on how the mechanical parts of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles work.

Service

Service assistant (Serviceassistent)

Service assistants learn about cleaning, hygiene, environment, safety, quality, service and cooking. A service assistant performs a practical effort daily with various service tasks for the benefit of many people at companies, hospitals, educational institutions and hotels.

Nutrition assistant (Ernæringsassistent)

The nutrition assistant work with food and the processes behind it. The students work with health, taste and the composition of a good meal in both large and small kitchens.

Gastronome (Gastronom)

A gastronome creates food experiences. The education provides a basic knowledge of health, nutrition and cooking. The students learn how to put together menus and get acquainted with beverages and how to serve customers, patients and employees.

Real estate service technician (Ejendomsservicetekniker)

The students learn to care for and maintain buildings, heating systems, green areas and administration.

Business and administration

Retail education (detailuddannelsen)

Presentation, creativity, customer service and sales. These are some of the main elements of retail education.

Commercial education (Handelsuddannelsen)

With commerce as the centerpiece, you help create value for the company's products and services.

Upper secondary school

Higher technical examination (HTX)

At the Technical Gymnasium, science, technology, engineering and IT are the key areas. The students work with real-world challenges from the local and global environment. HTX provides access to a wide range of higher education programs.

Higher commercial examination (HHX)

The higher commercial examination offers 8 different fields of study in finance, marketing and language. The students will be dressed for both the job market or a higher education
